Although i ain't getting time off this year due to my lack of full time employment i am interested to know just how long you lot get off?When i was in I.T it was a mare to get any time off save XMAS/BOXING DAY and maybe NEW YEARS DAY!So do you finish FRIDAY for 2 weeks or what?

Bloody hell i KNEW you had a good job!Top time off there NICK.
Spent the summer working a four day on / four day off shift pattern. The kids were on school hols and my wife works term time only so I didn't need to use any annual leave.
Consequently I had loads left to use before the end of the year and finished on Dec 11th. Not due back until Jan 2nd.
I am going in work on Monday at 10 and finishing at 12. I could book a full day off but it's pointless as I go in for two hours and there's a buffet so I won't be doing any work anyway and it will save me a days holiday.
I'm back in on Thursday 3rd January and I've had to book 4 days holiday for that. I'm just looking forward to the lie-ins
Went abroad thirteen times this year so have absolutely no days left to take as holiday. 
Working all over Xmas / New Year this year. Right pain.
But then, it's the same story every year so I'm kinda used to it.

Finish midday Christmas Eve. Back in the 27th/28th and then off till the 2nd Jan.

14 December to 2nd January. But that is only because I've got a new job which doesn't start until January :)
But if I was still in my old retail job, I would have only had Christmas Day and New Years Day off

Finish on Friday until the 3rd and I had to use all my remaining holidays, so nae more holidays till April and I didnae get away at all this year :\ohwell:
