Nah, bet most people go a bit lighter on both your Xmas and bidet pressie cos they know they've gotta buy both in the same week.

And trying to get people out for an ale must be a mare on your bidet - people are saving themselves up for Xmas Eve and New Year's Eve. You're just a nuisance expecting a night out inbetween. :lol:

Yes that's troo, Jarvo. When I was a nipper quite a few of the rellies would give me a combined prezzie for Christmas and Birthday. I'm not really the mercenary sort though, so it's never bothered me.

Another effect is that me and my close friends have always presented ourselves really hungover for New Year celebrations. Still, gives you a nice head start once you've managed to drink it off.

It's just nice that everyone makes an effort to decorate the place for my birthday.
