Grabbed a shedload of these last night.

The groundbreaking transmission on Radio 1's Essential Selection , May 1994.Missed it at the time as i was in fcuking Cairo, finally heard it last night after all these years.Would have made a cracking soundtrack to travelling round Egypt actually! All that call to prayer samples mixed in with the ambient and sonic samples

Grabbed some Dutch radio broadcast from 94 but much of which surface on the ISDN album , still ace though.

French Radio one too , ace

Radio Leicester 1996 is fantastic mix too although i have had that on cassette for years.

Cobain's gone full on with the hippy dippy mello hippo disco pyschedelia freakout the last few years which ain't entirely my bag but fair play to him for doing his own thing , following his own path instead of doing umpteen remakes of Papua New Guinea/Lifeforms .

Discovered they've released 4 albums of unreleased archive FSOL stuff recently

I was at the gig in Brighton (I think Stanmer Park in 1997), where they supposedly did the first ever gig by ISDN link to a stage). Was ace, although the link kept fucking up.

This is the most successful bit.

Garry Cobain was a total freak though.

Aye have watched that before. Can't listen to the stuff Cobain's doing these days but at least he's doing what he wants to do , not pandering to anyone.

Johnny ya cnut.... just got me surfing, and found best track off Lifeforms, featuring Liz Frazer a little bit. Top toon, been bopping a bit round the room.

Indeed.

The 2 hour Radio 1 from 94 is there but if you want something more like a short sharp sonic blast try the Radio Leicester or Radio Leeds from 1996.Both a shorter 30 minute session but frickin ace
