Who else thinks that New Order or NOOL has contributed in some way to the break up of their relationship/marriage?

I believe:-

My posting Collecting Bootlegs Collecting TV footage Going to gigs

all added to us growing apart. All the daft cow had to do was like New Order was that too much to ask ?

Anyone else ?

my wife thinks that i spend far too much time 'talking to my spoddy mates' on the website, and not enough attending to her needs. why cant she just get on with the ironing, washing, cleaning, cooking, shopping etc, and leave me in peace??

The 81- 82 set Lists. DNE and NO's Temptation gets its first Live. Says it all really.

The missus came to see the Order at Hyde Park and Wembley, previously I had always been 'allowed' to go with mates. Totally different experience. I even stayed sober and can remember the set lists! Downside is she expects me to go and see Duran Duran with her now. Where's my lawyer?

do some aggressive dancing, that usually works

Thanks for the tips. Getting pissed and aggressive dancing, maybe it won't be so bad after all!:)

Not in my case. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I was in a crappy relationship so I started doing my own thing. Glasters '05 was my fist solo mission.

New Order did NOT cause the breakdown of my marriage. Nothing did. It just broke down.

Ignore the rest of the band and enjoy John Taylor's bass playing. He's actually pretty good. You'll find time goes by quite quickly.

If your Mrs tries saying anything, do the old 'Shhhh!!! I'm listening to this - great bass riff - did you see how he played those triplets?'

If that doesn't work to shut her up and never ask you to a Duran Duran gig again, try puking on the back of some big bloke in front of you. That would work.

Well I'm 6ft 2 and weigh nearly 15 stone so he would have to be pretty big. Do I get the impression you're a bass player by any chance?

It is really weird. Some chicks really like them and others plain refuse to listen to the Order. Life as a metalist would prolly be easier.

Perversely, I got married - and divorced - in New Order's hiatus between 2002-5.

It's cos those cunts weren't doing anything, that me and P split up!

Shame on you New Order, shame on you. :nonono:

Hey, don't knock it til you've tried it. Duran Duran were brilliant live when I saw them 3 years ago, one of the best. Even though they were never my cup of tea. I bet you enjoy it!

Wife loves New Order, so I'm lucky there...

...however she doesn't fancy me on NOOL, thinks I need to hang out with friends of flesh and blood... I would if I had the bloody time!

Well, I don't think working 1 year on Community 2 helped my relationship at all.... but it's true I spent a lot of time on that because I enjoyed it a lot, but I never figured it would end like this...

Obviously it's not the only reason, but that sure didn't help.

So you better buy a freaking copy

Thing that I don't get, Ron, is you. Most Germans, in fact 99% of the Germans I have met, are a good laugh, like a beer and football, the banter is always good. Most Aussies, in fact I can't think of a single one who isn't, are a good laugh, enjoy a beer, give as good as they get in terms of banter.

You can't be either. You're about as funny as being told you need surgery, and you can't do banter. Admit it, you're French really :evil4:
