Right, enough is more than a sufficiency.

I've been sitting on ma ass at this "thing" since I got out my bed the day, and I've done fuck all productive!

Fucking "things!" End up owning you.

Possessions: one sure sign of the poverty of today's philosophy.

I'm fucking offski to try to rediscover real life (well for a :smoker: and a Dewey Egberts really) but a pontificating excuse sounds better than saying "I'm away fir a Jay an' a coffee!"

Does anyone else feel these bloody things are stealing all their time, attempting to replace Real Life and taking over!?

are all marxists whingy and self-righteous, or just the ones who haven't actually acted on their beliefs and gone to live in a commune in the hills?

Sorry your MagicStick but Marxism's got fuck all to do with living in the hills in communes.

It is however about effecting an (r)evolutionary change in the entire social structure, so that production is geared to peoples needs not profit and the capricious wants and desires of a sick consumerist cesspit!

An' yes well spotted I am rather fucking pissed off today but that's only because "Capital It Fails Us NOW!" and my experience of fucking poverty isn't out of books: but real concrete re-fucking-ality. I was fucking reduced to sitting in an unlit, unheated. house in the depths of winter last night because I'd ran out of money to feed the bastard meter!

So excuse me if I'm a bit fucking pissed off today (this morning: 4:30am).

Okay Dokey Carry-Fucking-OK!

It makes sense. We are already used to the consumerist society...

Some people had enough money at one point, bought a PC and signed a contract with a Broadband supplier... then their circumstances changed - stuck with paying for the pc and internet connection. Not saying that's necessarily the case, but you never know. Another socialist ideal is not to judge people by their circumstances...

Oh Johnny how thine cup runneth over with the milk of human kindness, and thine heart overfloweth with thine "sympathy held sway"!

And your all right in some ways (an' if I knew how to do that stupid bloody multi-quote in one box thingy, I'd quote the lot of you. Slagging me fir feckin' aboot way fonts an' colours an' I canny even do a simple thing like that!)

Where were we?....

Awe aye; in some ways is wizz ma ain stupid fault for running oot a' 'lecky: an' I actually quite enjoyed sitting by candlelight for the first time since "the winter of discontent" ('79 when blackouts were frequent for one reason or the other), but the next morning getting out of bed in the cold and dark was nae fun! (Big fucking deal anyway; it's hardly the end of the world.) But the point is, there's people far worse off than me, and by any standard I wouldn't be considered as "comfortable."

Popey what Chris was saying and getting at is exactly right, if wouldn't matter a fook if I was a multi-millionaire mass murderer, my personality/social status in no way invalidates the validity of the Socialist argument. I can no more escape my times (historical epoch) and society than flap my arms and fly off to the moon escaping earths gravity.

 Hardy-Ha-Ha!

And I'd have to go with Snorri; my favourite biscuit was raisin Clubs for a long time!
