It's a pity that one of the most poppulous countries doesn't have a significant New Order fan base.

Good link I really can't say I was ever that au-fait with Indonesian politics.
(Love the design of the Petronas Towers but, a lot of Muslim art is similar in style/design to Celtic stuff, and start from similar layouts:
an amazing building. I thought it rather interesting that the "interlocking squares" are a design scared to Muslim's; It's also quite close to a "Star of David".)

I remember that most of my first New Order records were Made in Indonesia. No, I'm not saying that they have a fan base just because NO records are released in Indonesia. Anyway, I bought these "heatproof cassette case" back in 1988 in my Southeast Asia tour (i know I'm not an artist, but then... it's a vacation). Brotherhood, Substance Tape 2, Unknown Pleasures, and New Order "Greatest Hits." Only the last one (Greatest Hits) is still with me right now.

How do you fined listenig to Unknown Pleasures on some Phillipines islands on a hot day? Must be fucking surreal. Even Suharto backed New Order's releases, so c'mon, there must be a place...
