They played at the opening of the Echo Arena last night. They only did Nothing Last's Forever, but it sounded absolutely magnificent with the orchestra backing them:thumb:

I was going to mention this, it's easy to immediately start back in the eighties but this is a classic and up there with any of them for me.

Oddly, I've heard Lips Like Sugar so often that I honestly wouldn't care if I never heard it again and I must sadly say that I still haven't gotten round to buying Siberia.:o Covers of Run Run Run and Paint It Black are just as good and better than the originals, respectively IMO.

about 24 years ago, a load of us kids were at lime street station and ian mac was in the queue for the london train, as typical kids it was a case of you go and ask him, no you go, im not going, anyway jeff went up and got him to sign his school bag, a few bemused looks as it didnt say mr echo!
