Tax rebates.
Americans get money back at the end of the tax year because their system means that everyone has the same tax code, then their allowances are worked out when they fill in their returns in January. Or something like that. It's their government's way of making everyone feel guilty about enjoying Christmas because they haven't done their tax forms yet. Or, conversely, make some Americans enjoy Christmas even more because they already have their form done.
The one type of Americans, the type that have not done their forms yet, despise the type that have. And vice versa. Some people lie and pretend they haven't just to look cool. But you can tell they have because their houses are all tidy and they don't look cool when they're smoking. The other type know what they're up to and they hate them even more for it. They don't say anything though; they're waiting for them to fuck up and then they'll pounce. Bastards.
Something like the 83p a month NI rebate I always seem to get then... I prefer our system, I seem to get a totally unexpected tax refund every few years of so... Much more exciting...

Isn't one of the main problems/issues about borrowing money you can't afford to pay back.... and this is different?
$600 won't make a difference in my life one way or the other, but I'll take it.
Not exactly sure how this is gonna help in the long run, I'll just save mine for when oil reaches $200 a barrel and is sold here by the cup.
