other 2 headliners are supposed to be the verve and leonard cohen, according to efestivals. as much as i respect leonard cohen as he has some great songs, i'm glad i wasn't planning on going to glastonbury.

It's so sad. The top of my screen at the moment shows Steve Morris in Buenos Aires... I saw New Order at Glastonbury in '87. Lovely.

Oh well, as most people have said over the last few years, Glatonbury is just for fools nowadays... :cry:

I'd never really thought about modern rappers in those terms until I started listening to Lupe Fiasco... Like Jay-Z far more literate and interesting than any of the geetar crap that fills the charts nowadays... :nod:

Very true - am of the same opinion about Summercase!

Having seen the initial Summercase artists, I certainly wouldn't buy a ticket based on them, although it will be good to see The Stranglers again after all these years, and if R.E.M. are confirmed, then it'll be good to see them again as well... I'm just going for the laff! :)

Not me to stand up fopr hip hop, (as i pretty much despise it all) but isnt Jay Z one of the more intelligent ones around? Unlike say 50 pence and Snoop Dog.

Didnt he do a song with Chris Martin? That was brutal. Had it on the radio at work. Brought tears to my eyes.

Chris Martin is yer rapper's honky bitch of choice. He's worked with Kanye as well on another abomination. One of the rare instances of black artists exploiting white artists to take their music to an untapped demographic? In this instance bed-wetters, houswewives and accountants.

Saw Kanye West at the SECC last year. One of the top 5 best gigs I've been to of all time. :nod:
