I am certainly not a taker :nono:

When my Orb thing is finished (in 1 day woo!) could I seed that? It does say in the roolz that you should only seed stuff that's been on the telly but when did the roolz count for anything? I bet that would go down a storm and then I could be a box.biz MASTER.

Normal for a medium speed machine of 1-1.5GHz yes. It isn't just burning it, it has to transcode it too, ie read the avi or wharever into raw mpeg, then re-encode that to the DVD standard.

PS, Col, just leave it running in the torrent proggy when the download finishes, it'll seed automatically, ideally you wanna seed until the ratio is at least 1:1

Sorry to be a techno-useless twat but does your advice count if I've downloaded the Orb from a different file-sharing site? If so; that's clever!

If not, I'll have to transfer it to box.biz.

(But tomorrow, obviously. I'm too pissed now. And don't actually have the file yet!)

no, sorry, didn't realise that's what you meant. you could upload a torrent of it there as you say tho. however it wouldn't be allowed as a music vid i think.

Oh you build me up and then dash my dreams every time.

Is that how you get your kicks?

Thanks Doc:thumb: I'm kind of relieved it's supposed to take that long but i don't think i'll be doing much burning in future .I'll just have to sit at the PC and watch the bloody things.

And Reverend it's good to hear your Orb project is nearing completion

It was going great guns this morning! Not long now.

And I paid box.biz 20 Euros to get me off their badlads list, but overnight my upload ratio has recovered and the ban has been lifted anyway.

Ahh well!

I'm thinking of writing a theme tune to my Orb Download soap opera.

The plot takes a sudden and dramatic twist!

MyPod is a Zem Creative M which means that I too can watch fillums on it. I wonder what formats it supports! I'll have to get on with converting and transfering next week. Oh deep joy, I'll never leave the house again!

And Al, I had wondered how you managed to watch all the tv you seem to, given your other commitments. Now we know!

I've watched three series of the Wire going to work on me iPod so far this year already.

Thing is, fcuking Vicky Line is so noisy as it rattles along I ain't got a clue what's going on half the time. I'm making half the conversations up as I go along! And then I get confused when they start shooting each other.

I've got lots of porn on there too. You don't have to be too concerned about the dialogue!

I nearly started watching series 5 of the Wire y'know! As it was listed as just'The Wire' and I dowloaded it before 1,2,3 and 4.. So natch, I thought it was series 1,until I realised it was only 5 episodes and smelled a rat.Presumably i would have had my head up my shitter, trying to work out what was going on,joining in at that late stage.. Well they'll have to get up earlier than that to pull the wool over BRF's eyes I reckon..

Did I just refer to myself in the third person there? Like what wankers do:eek3:

Edit:Still not sure if it is series 5 actually. But it's in the bank, anyhow.

Absolutely, it's the only way to travel - you've just got to keep a watch out for the ticket inspector/person who brings you coffee! :spit:

Reminds me of the story of the guy who bough a couple of media players for his little girls, one of whom was shocked and disgusted and no doubt scared for life by the discovery that it was loaded with prawn. The electrical shop said it had been returned by another customer and offered a replacement. The Dad declined, saying he was holding on to it until he'd spoken to solicitors.

Don't get watching frankie in public, I mean the underground doesnae even have crappers you can pop off too for a Jodrell.

Casual porn watching in general is a bit weird to me, there's usually only one reason I reach for it.

Yeah, series 5 has just started in the States. It's gonna be the final series.

True dat. Indeed.

That's one annoying thing about the Wire - you end up talking like a fcuking Baltimore hoodlum.
