Who's sending one? Who to? Anyone sending two?

Who hopes to get one? Who hopes not to? Who'll be worried about thanking someone for theirs in case it's actually from someone else but worries that if they don't say anything they'll get in trouble anyway and doesn't know what to do ohmygod this is so awful? Who still gets one from their Mum? Who's gonna send one to their married friends, just for a laugh? Who's going to send me one? Are we all going to send individual ones to Jemma or just club together and buy her one big one from us all?

Years ago I got a call from someone I used to go out with. We chatted for a bit and she suggested we meet up. I was surprised at this because she'd chucked me quite decisively a few months previously, following a Burns supper where my behaviour had fallen somewhat short of her expectations. During the night out she said "thanks for the flowers, I didn't expect that at all". Thinking on my feet, I just acknowledged her thanks despite not having a clue what she was on about. As far as I know, she never found out that it wasn't me that had put a huge bunch of flowers on her doorstep, signed the card ??? and then didn't bother letting her know that it was him. Like a dumb fuck.

Nope , just checked and the only post is a pile of campaign leaflets trying to get my local Labour/Conservative vote. That's taking the piss:angry:

And you can't even get optimistic about the later second post these days because there isn't one:cry:

If you've forgotten your beloved, the way to do it is via text - according to the radio.

I left the house at 6am so don't know how I got on yet.

I'll call back at lunchtime. Hopefully they won't have stacked up behind the door so I can't open it.

I never get my post until the evening anyway, but I'm not holding out much hope :nonono:

Still, I got a nice Happy Valentine's text, sadly it was from my friends husband (and she'll have put him up to it!)

I did get a poem (in Spanish) emailed to me from a friend, but that was about as romantic as today will get. Fucking ex-wife is playing Scrabble with me and hasn't even said good morning yet!

I got a receipt for a bill payment and an NHS 'Valentine's Day - Look After Your Heart' advert.

My Valentine's card turned up 3 days early.

That's dedication for you

It's all just another commercial con to get people to part with their money anyway :nono:

And just because you don't get a card doesn't mean that no one loves you...

'Good' only gets you 6 in scrabble and 'morning' is 10.

She's probably saving her letters for better words.

 It was Burns night so you'd hardly stand out as a drunken idiot?

Dear Sweetheart Nothing is better in Love than to be playful with the other. So I want to play a game. It’s called “Your wrists shackled to your ankles and me with a cucumber.” Prediction: I’ll win all over you.

Dear February Love, I was thinking about ways to enhance our sex life so I decided to remove your teeth. Next we work on the gag-reflex problem.

Well first off, I'm a cheap bastard. We celebrate V-Day the following day, because then you can buy all the candy and V-Day stuff for 80% off (why pay $18 for candy when you pay for the same stuff $5 the next day?) and your not waiting for 3 hours to be seated at a resturant....

But my wife has that crazy, scary double talk coming to the day though.... as she firmly states "don't get me ANYTHING this year, I mean it!"...

I actually was stupid enough to believe this one year, and she sat queitly for three days before stating "you didn't do anything?!" as she burst into tears.....

but then if I get her something she'll state, "I told you not to get me anything!"

Why do women talk like this? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

To my sweet sugar sweatheart, I know we have had a rough couple of years, but I want you to know- You’re still a bitch.

Hello Heart-Like Lovey Dovey: On this beautiful day, I want to say to you those three little words that all women long to hear…”Bend-over,- NOW!”

Dear thief of my heart, Valentines day makes me think of three things. The first thing is love. The kind of love that lasts a lifetime and sustains the soul. The other two things are your boobs. Now take your shirt off and try to relax.

Dear Sugarlips,

Is there anything as big as our love? Yes. Your ass. Get thinner.
