Anyone seen this?
I felt conned into watching this yesterday arvo. Seems every film 'up West' in London starts at 2pm, or 4pm ... but I was in the vicinity at 3pm, so it was the only one on - reckon all the cinemas had clubbed together and decided to show this one, and this one only, at 3pm, just to fool dumbschmuks like me who couldn't be arsed to wait till 4pm to watch summat else.
That's gotta be the slowest 2hrs of my life. I figured it MUST be based on a true story cos no one could write anything so tedious and mundane but googled it afterwards and seems not. I s'pose it was nominated for an Oscar because of the performances of Clooney and Swinton? ... but what if you really don't like Clooney and Swinton to begin with?! Struck me they were both doing summat away from the big bucks just to say, "Look at meeee, darlings, I'm a proper act-or!". Self-indulgant poppycock.
And why name the film after the lead character? I mean, Ali and Michael Collins were actually somebody. Michael Clayton simply ain't.
Wish I'd waitied for Aliens vs Predator now! 
Still can't believe There Will Be Blood ain't out yet either.
