From Jemma's favourite daily newspaper The Guardian:
The rock band Kaiser Chiefs have joined the battle to stop expansion at Stansted airport in Essex.
The leaders of the Stop Stansted Expansion Group plan to put together an album of tracks by musicians who back their cause and Kaiser Chiefs, who are in the middle of an international tour, have been invited to contribute.
They made their interest clear last year when they picked up a Brit award and the band's drummer, Nick Hodgson, called out his support for the runway campaigners.
So how ROCK is that? Campaigning against airport expansion whilst simultaneously jetting around the world peddling your crappy football-chant music and doing your 'trademark leaps' around the stage and having floppy hair.
He looks like a fucking nimby; I thought as much when I first laid eyes on him. I said so to the wife. I said "see him there, jumping around the stage. He'll be campaigning against airports shortly. You'll see." Then she left me and now I'm all alone.
