Do you think they were much stronger though? The first series was, but I thought the second was flabby, to say the least. Let's get the Irish out of the way. Check. Have the token black copper. Check. The Uganda Asians. Check.
Actually, even the first series had its duff episodes - that one where they were held hostage at gunpoint was a stinker from start to finish!
But, having said that, I really enjoyed watching them .. if only as pure escapism. One of the most watchable things we've had on these shores for many a year.
You checked out The Wire yet, Ally? Well worth a look if you want a bit of qualidee drama. Oh, and don't mind the odd gangland slaying!
Oh, and am I the only bloke in the world who genuinely doesn't think Keeley Hawes is all that? I'm much rather have the other bird - if only cos of that wedge!!!
