I wasn't so sure about it after the 1st episode, but 3 episodes in and I like it.

I'm going to get Life On Mars downloaded too, if I can work out how to do it. Although, I'm not sure if knowing he's been in a coma is going to affect my enjoyment of it.

Yeah, can't help thinking there must be a rug-pull coming. To simply copy the LOM premise completely would be a big disappointment.

Do you think they were much stronger though? The first series was, but I thought the second was flabby, to say the least. Let's get the Irish out of the way. Check. Have the token black copper. Check. The Uganda Asians. Check.

Actually, even the first series had its duff episodes - that one where they were held hostage at gunpoint was a stinker from start to finish!

But, having said that, I really enjoyed watching them .. if only as pure escapism. One of the most watchable things we've had on these shores for many a year.

You checked out The Wire yet, Ally? Well worth a look if you want a bit of qualidee drama. Oh, and don't mind the odd gangland slaying!

Oh, and am I the only bloke in the world who genuinely doesn't think Keeley Hawes is all that? I'm much rather have the other bird - if only cos of that wedge!!! :food:

Again, bet I'm the only bloke in Britain who prefered her mate Kelly!

Never "got" why everyone fancied Zoe so much.

Besides, Stacey Slater is far more filthy...

Hmmmmm , dunno, she's a strange one.... Looks fit sometimes in it but then at other times.... kind of  can't put my finger on it.

She was looking lovely on Jonathan Ross t'other night though .Totally charming as well:love: That bit when she leant forward and put her hands on Wossy's desk and he was all " bloody hell thought i was gonna get a blowjob for a minute then!"

Only saw last week's episode last night.

What was the incidental music they kept using? Just very brief soundbites of it as they led up to summat else?

Thought it was the Professionals at first, but am now thinking it was the Long Good Friday.

Easy there. We've only just had epp two of series two of Life here. Um yes it screened today.

Gene Hunt makes it watchable.Imagine how shite it would be without him.

LoM was definately better than Ashes. LoM had some genuinely spooky moments (there was something unnerving about the girl from The Testcard).

Ashes is OK but I find the Quattro to be just plain wrong. Forgetting the fact that this model of Audi did not appear in the UK until 1983 - it's just not credible that a detective would be tooling around in a red quattro. A Capri or hot Escort would have been more appropriate.

Now if they could see their way clear to playing "Ceremony" as background music to a car chase maybe I could forgive the quattro!

It would be pure Keeley-porn and it would be great.

Can we please get a special forum entirely devoted to Ms Hawes so I don't have to suffer threads about Editors, word associations and other banal esoterica??

Thanks.

I couldnt be bothered to tune into episode 3 last night. Prefering the drap spurs failing miserably in europe. I really think this 3rd series is a waste of time.

Surprised that last night's episode, with all the talk of sucking cocks, arse bandits and fudge packers, that it didn't feature any Bronski Beat! Even the spurned gay friend dressed like Jimi Sommerville.

PS Just for Fradders here's more Keeley!

oops I'm moist

What a crap finale. And made little sense. So theres gonna be another series next year. Oh pleaaase! Drag it out BBC why dont you. This series was utter trollop!

I thought the ending was quite good...

!SPOILER REMOVED!

Agree about dragging it out though, one series was probably enough. Although Phil Glennister is quoted as saying there is an option for three...
