Ok, so you are part of an internationally successful dance act with an abundance of female fans to choose from, so you end up shagging LILY FUCKING ALLEN!!!!!!
I know a lot of New Order fans like the Chems, but I could never stomach them, there sound was always far to fat and heavy and never had any particular melodic appeal.
Although I understand they have since parted. Quite sad to hear about the miscarriage though.

Eh? Which bit are you missing? Lily Allen really ain't bad looking when she's shed the flesh and ain't pictured falling out of clubs/clothes at 6am. She's a right larf, and she's summat like 17 years Ed's JUNIOR and also a LOT more famous.

It's a win-win situation.
I doubt anyone knows who 'Ed Simons' is, nor are less likely to know what he looks like. He probably got more exposure slinging one up Lil than he ever did headlining Glastonbury or winning a Grammy.

Totally agree. The Chems have always been totally faceless, i.e. very rarely recognised in the street.

For ages I thought it was the balding glasses wearing Chemical that was seeing to Ms Allen and not the er, other one.
Basically and to back El J's point; the Chemicals are so "un-famous" for the last ten years I've had their names reversed.
Ah well, I'm sure they won't mind.
I've gone off Lily Allen since she started her full-on campaign to become yet another tedious micro-celeb coached for the "correct demographic". Her early tunes had a bit of spark about them but she's since been swallowed up by the PR machine and probably won't come out with anything decent again, including this new chat show thingy which mostly has been panned.
