"....And Domino's Pizza reported that it had been forced to put up prices because of a 50% increase in the cost of mozzarella cheese and the dough used to make pizza bases....."
Robbing bastards. It's 12 notes for a large pizza as standard. They're gonna make it even dearer than that??????
we've had a hops shortage here in the states for at least a year now. The price of all food and drink goes up .25 a year so haven'tnoticed it at the bars but microbrews at the liquor store have gone up significantly.

That's true. A mate of mine got back from watching Everton in Norway last week and one pub charged £6.00 a pint so they got off and went the one down the road and got stung for £8.00. Cheeky!![]()
They're even trying to stop supermarkets selling cheap alcohol now.
They had a spokesperson from Tesco's on the Beeb this morning saying they didn't really have a reason for simply inflating the price of alcohol artificially, but were happy to comply if the government came in with something that forced them to reprice.
Cunts! ![]()
When I was a teenager, a pint cost £2 and a packet of cigarettes cost less than £1.
So, with £10, you could drink at least 4 pints and smoke 20 cigarettes. (Ratio 5 cigs/pint)
Now, with £10, you have a pint and a glass and your 20 cigarettes, you smoke them outside. A pint : between £3 and £3.50 20 fags : £3.50 (Ratio 12.5 cigarettes/pint)
Better drink outside with booze bought at the groceries (alcohol is a lot cheaper by retailers here)...

If they put it up that much the punters will just switch to the bottled beer (which as current stock couldn't be price adjusted?) then when the pub is empty the brewery will have to back down.

In Sarf London, local boroughs agreed to a law banning the sale of 59p white cider. It was accompanied by a poster campaign prolly paid for by Ken, effectively outlawing the stuff.
A month or two later 65p pricemarked white cider appeared on the market, with 10% extra free.![]()
