I think catch-phrases used by politicians to illicit certian emotions into voting, and the press use to nauseum:

WMDs 9/11 special interest groups big business liberal conservative

etc. (to include the ones Woodsy posted)

Are they still saying CHANGE a lot?

I thought it was a joke when I was over there at Christmas.

That Obama bin Laden bloke says it the most. Watching one of his speeches is like being hypnotised

Yes people are sheep that love bright/shiny things and special words that make them feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

He never really says anything of any substance, only words people like to hear. Watched the Dem Ohio debate the other night and Obama only rode on the curtails of Clinton. She'd give her policy in decent depth, then he would say, "mine's not much different, but what we need is change in Washington"... and people would erupt in applause.... Hilary's face was a bit amusing to watch, as she kept smiling, but you could still see the thoughts rolling around in her head....

I'm going to do that today, instead of any work. Just talk about change.

My Boss: Have you done your weekly reports?

Me: What the management of this department need is change. Change in the reporting structure, change in the presentation and change in the reasons of changey change change.

And probably a change in the people they employ (ie me) by about lunch time.

Obama is a freak. You wouldn't let him in your house, he's too strange. And he says the word change more than is natural.

I watched him for a whole week and I still couldn't work out what he was actually proposing to change. He’s got no policies as far as I could see. I honestly think it's a form of stage hypnotism. His supporters all had a weird look in the eyes; more so than your regular auto-clapping election campaign monkey. He's changed them. And now he wants to change you.

One thing that will change is his matey persona. Politicians who get themselves elected on the basis that they are everyone's mate usually turn into the most remote, unapproachable bastards the moment they get elected.

I'm backing Hilary. At least she won't get sacked for getting a blow job.

Unless she makes a few changes of her own...

Scenario. Acteurs. Direction des Ressources Humaines.

All this vocabulary which makes working in a firm fun. All that to let you forget that what is expected from you is to behave like a bastard because you are doing it in real life.

And, in matters of politics... réforme. A country which does not make any réforme is a country which is condemned to public disorders, recession. Ok, no more welfare state. But at the end of the process, what will be the deal ? "We must do a Soviet Revolution" for the sake of réformes ?
