I am, I suspect, no different from most on here, a long time Joy Division and New Order enthusiast. I bought Closer when it was first released and that was that....no going back. Back in those days I had to go to Leeds to buy records as the local shops had bugger all, nothing of a journey now but as a youth it was a big adventure. Anyhoo, it never dawned on me that there was an online NO community until I stumbled upon this place late last week. Most of my best years and co-incidently NO's were spent wasted and as a result I never got to see the band live which is a big regret. I have built up a fair collection of vinyl, tapes, VHS, cd's etc....and have to rely on those to keep the habit fed.
I am a middle aged male residing in Castleford West Yorkshire, married with 2 teenage daughters, the eldest recognises NO tracks from the first bar but the youngest thinks them to be "ghey". I run a highways maintenance contract to pay the mortgage and my other passion in life is cars, I am currently on my third Celica GT4 and it bleeds me dry every month.
