He died today at the age of 110.

Strange fact, his name was Lazare, known as the saint of the dead ones...

Two years ago, they still were about a dozen...

Born in Italy, he grew up in France. In 1914, aged 16, he cheated and claimed he was 18 to enlist in the Légion étrangère.
