Bonz has flown to see them in Germany this morning.

That's just weird, isn't it?

Even Liam's got more sense than to go see them abroad! Er, I think? :skeptic:

Hopefully she'll do the decent thing and roll in late, then wander out early and just listen to them at the bar.

Fair play to Bonz for making the effort although not sure I'd have done :p

Must admit my opinion of Editors has wavered somewhat over the last year. I played the first album and all the singles off it to death at the time but have found the second album a little grating after barely half the listens.

They're really pushing that squealey U2 guitar and stadium widescreen production aren't they? Don't get me wrong, still some cracking tunes on there but they're definitely straying into U2 territory which is a bit depressing.

Haven't seen them live yet so reserving opinion on that front.

Just hope Tom Smith doesn't bang on about Kosovo or Africa while sporting wrap-around shades; that really will be the final nail for me.

Yes but back on topic, Ally. What do you think of my arse?

Touching - bunch of fuckers! Lol.

Right, it goes a little something like this.......

Never seen Editors before tonight, only knew little of their music but never been to Germany before and wanted to see Norbert and german Order.

Had the best time ever. Support bands were very good - Editors came on and was not too sure at all - but after 45 mins, they just kicked in with some fantastic shit! No lie - just reminded me of Jems for some reason, coz she loves them, then the nutter texts me, freaky! But was a very surreal experience to say the least. They were original without doing what has been 'done' before. Not sure i will go and buy the albums - but would see them live again!

Managed to delete 71 photos that Norbert took - hopefully i will be welcome again!

Good job I did come to Germany seeing as Arsenal are only going as far as scouse land!

I saw the four times, now. It was the best. They varied the tempo more than before. Very amazing. We had a great time. It was a pleasure to meet Emily. But I will never give her a camera again.

Ems needs her bumps felt. *Calm down, calm down - a phrenology reference, alright?*

I've got no idea what 'The Editors' are like, but I hope she enjoyed the gig and got home safely

Sort of. I saw them in Barcelona last year but not sure that counts?

I was planning on going watching them in Toulouse last November, but it would have involved flying from Milan to Barcelona, then a train to Toulouse, then an overnight train from Toulouse to Paris, to fly from Paris to Zurich.

In the end, I concluded it wasnt worth it. I've seen them enough times anyway...

Are they actually any good?

Just off to listen to a track now. Answer in a bit.

Hmmm. They're not actually bad but there's absolutely nothing inspiring or original there.

A bit of a 'heard it all before' band.

They're just not as a good as all those old bands, are they? :skeptic:

If only Freebass got their act together so we could all go and see them instead of all these pesky youngsters... :nonono: :nonono: :uhoh:

Oh, she was for the Editors here? I thought, she was here for going over the border to put some fire in a dutch pub. But maybe she only tried to burn her return ticket. :D

I'd only crossed the border for 15 mins!

It was an accident, honest - I put my bag down on the table in the pub and my return flight ticket that was sticking out caught fire in the candle on the table and started to billow a few flames from my bag! Nothign a few stamps on the floor coudln't sort out.

Not too sure they were very impressed when I handed my ticket it and the check-in desk and it was burnt around the edges!:(

Think it was a relief for German Order when they put me finally back on the plane!

As for the Editors - I think they did have something slightly different about their live performance to some other bands - not least because they kept shouting 'Lancashire' after each song, that's gonna put you in a minority straight off! Slow burners, but they got really good. Not sure i'd ever buy the albums, but would take a peak live again if the opportunity came round again, I would think!

Yes, it's absolutely true. Nobody, outside of the german order, noticed it in the pub. But if you have to choose between the truth and the legend, ....

It was a pleasure to meet Bonz for the first time in Germany. She is very nice and uncomplicated. German Order is looking forward to see her the next time. I think, it will be again in Britannia or in Espana then.

Is it just me or are the members of this board getting stupider and posting dumber things with every passing day.

This is the most nonsensical thing I have ever read on any internet forum. Considering the IDIOTS that have been destroying the board for a long time now, this is a particularly noteworthy achievement.

Our local florist. Not the sort of music I would associate for such a venue. They usually play Clintons Lighthouse Family or similar happy Magic FM crud.

I must say that quite how dating Edith Bowman loses a band credibility is beyond me? :confused2:
