reading any good books?

i'm working through 'reading lolita in tehran,' a true story about a literature professor who starts an all-female book group despite the censorship of post-revolutionary iran.

next, i'll start 'trouble man: the life and death of marvin gaye,' about my favourite singer.

I'm back on Le Carre and just started The Mission Song which is his latest. He still seems in fine form.

I waited this long cause I refuse to pay $20 + for something that costs about half oversees. A couple of months back I finally saw it at a book fair. The silly sods usually publish the USA and Canadian prices on the covers as well.

I will also admit that I picked up a couple of Dan Brown's for light entertainment.

I've got a novel that I've been picking up and putting down for months. In between I've read three other books.

At the moment I'm glued to Scar Tissue, the Autobiography of Anthony Kiedis (Red Hot Chilli Peppers). He's not even a teenager yet and his life revolves around drugs and celebrities.

Started that Simon Reynolds book about post punk 1978-1984 'Rip It Up' but not read much yet.

just finished iain banks latest - 'the steep approach to garbadale'. reminiscent of the crow road in some ways, but not a patch on it...

Ive just started Touching from a distance again and the Michael Middles From Joy division to New order I have Barneys biography to read as well but trying to play the bass is taking up free time.

I like Stephen King not the most challenging read but he tells a damned good story

Not exactly a book, but I started reading the Bastard Operator From Hell stories again, right from the start. Totally hilarious, I keep laughing hysterically at 3am and stuff. It's also given me an unhealthy attitude to callers in work and people who ask me to fix their outlook express (hint: you can't, but that wont stop me telling them to delete it's registry keys....using a hatchet).

I was never particularly mad about the Chilli Peppers, but this guy's story is mad. Read it!

No time to read. Have a bunch of books lined up collecting dust and a bunch I haven't finished. One that's easy to pick up when ever I have a chance is "Book of Totally Useless Information". Have answers to questions that you didn't realize you had, like where the word 'OK' came from.... great book

I need to start reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. I had stopped reading The Last Temptation of Christ recently because the plot is too slow, though.
