"Exclusive - Yazoo reform?
Yazoo are set to reform for their 25th anniversary, Teletext can reveal.
Alison Moyet and Vince Clarke formed in 1982 after Clarke left Depeche Mode, enjoying Top Three albums with Upstairs At Eric's and You And Me Both before splitting in 1983.
Both albums are being reissued next year and, after an official website was set up at yazooinfo.com, it's believed they will play a gig to promote them. "
I'm sure I've seen it mentioned on here before. Alison Moyet is fantastic and I liked Yazoo, wouldn't mind seeing them.
Their "Re-connected" gig at Manchester Apollo has been advertised in the papers for a while now. It was already a few months ago when I found out that they too were joining the 80s band reformation bandwagon. I wonder why? Alison's latest solo album got some good reviews but did sod all. And isn't Vince still tossing off Erasure anyway (pardon the puerile pun)??. Maybe they both got bored. I dunno. They were one of the better of the 80s synth duos though. I was a bit young to remember them in they heyday but on listening back to them they had some great electropop tunes. "Don't Go" and "Situation" were the dogs bollocks. "Only You" was good too but when the Flying Pickets covered it I went off it a bit.
Sorry to be a cheapskate,but are they justified to be asking what they're asking for,after only two albums together?
Love to hear some new stuff from them.
