A gourmet coffee blended from animal droppings is being sold at a London department store for £50 per cup.

How pissed off would you be if you spat one of them all over your keyboard?

Spare £40 for a cup of tea, guv?

I'm sure Harrods have been selling this stuff for an age.

Had a chat with Gem on the tube about this yesterday. I'm genuinely intrigued to try it, she just balked at the idea. I think if you're gonna start telling everyone something takes like shit, you should at least try it first.

I think it's still preferable to that booze stuff they make somewheres, but getting old people to chew the ingredients up and gob it into a bucket.

Think you're right bout Harrods, certainly the stuff has been mentioned before as being available at daft prices.

Asian palm civets, which live in the foliage of plantations across south-east Asia, are said to pick the best and ripest coffee berries.

Enzymes in their digestive system break down the flesh of the fruit before the animals expel the bean.

The beans are then collected from the plantation floor by workers who wash away the dung and roast them.

This sounds like such a gentle, natural process. I bet the reality is slightly less gentile. A bit like the fois gras ducks that they pull the beaks off and stuff with food by hand.

I wonder if it works with a normal cat?

Stephen Fry gave Prince Charles a pack of that coffee for Christmas a few years ago, so he says.

Could sending a packet of Poo to the heir to the throne be construed as treasonable?

that will be the difference with this stuff then, it will be a blend of the two types of poop.

Thanks Jem. Thanks alot. Back to having sleepless nights.

Maybe Em's reindeer suggestion might make me chuckle though while I'm sitting up all night with a cricket blatt.

Everything we eat, at some point, has come from some process of something being consumed and shat out or dying then decayed and rotted and consumed by bacteria, or some combination. It is the basis of how life continues on the Earth. All water was piss. You drink the piss of your neighbors upsteam. Your coffee once was once pissed out by a dinosaur.

It's best not to think about it.

I wonder whether they would sell more or less Evian if they relabelled it "Dinosaur Piss".

I'd buy Dinosuar Piss...

Why pay for it? It comes out of the taps for free!

And, by 0_o's reasoning, out of your knob

I'm easily influenced... Even at £40 a bottle...

Just give me the cow and the bacon and I'll chuck in this magic coat that makes you invisible and some wishing trousers.

Christ someone's going to read all this shit I've been typing on this daft website all afternoon and think I'm a moron. They'd be right as well. You know what I turned down to sit in on my own tonight? A jacuzzi party. That's right, I could be drinking champagne in a big bubble bath full of girls and instead I'm slumped on the settee being daft with a man who pretends to be a gnome.

What a moron
