Definately a step in the right direction, but a split nation over the matter. Don't think this will be resolved without alot of bloodshed unfortunately. Hope they can Westernize, but think there will be alot of resistence; not just from the half of the population against it, but the surrounding nations that see such a thing as a threat to their own country...

I've been to Serbia, and one of Serbia's charms is that it's not westernized (i.e., overrun by American culture). They've got their own unique culture there, and I hope it stays that way. That said, democracy and integration with Europe is exactly what Serbia needs, and I hope that Serbia continues down this path.
NO WAY. After having bombed and humiliated, you give Serbia a hand now to step in? And capitalist Western Europe that betrayed Serbia in the 90s? Serbia shouldn't integrate with her betrayers, if she still has enough pride.
Serbia, where are your chetniks?

So is that what "The Declaration of Rights of Man and of the Citizen" are considered?

I'd say it was Milosevic who betrayed Serbia...
...and his ultra-nationalist colleagues who would betray Serbia again if they had won the election.
