IRON MAN

i'm not an action movie fan but it was quite good. My pal manage to drag me out to it. Both Downey and Paltrow are good in it. I recommend it.

I liked it too. Though I don't like Robert Downey jr. nor Mrs. Coldplay. Jeff Brigdes bold with beard was ace.

Not seen this yet, but loved the comic in the '80's.

I hear he's not fallen off the wagon yet.

was perfectly enjoyable. but paltrow hardly had much to do in it other than whimper in the appropriate places

yeah but she looks really good in it and I thought she went well with Downey.

I liked the bit after the credits with Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury

Had my doubts but it was excellent. Always liked Robert Downey Jr.

I just saw this today... I thought it was boring, sorry. Feel like you can't have it both ways-- just go for either mindless summer blockbuster or politics--and for me it failed to satisfy in either category... slightly offensive actually. (then again presumably more thoughtful than the original comic set in vietnam )

okay, so Jeff Bridges guy has Afghan militants ambush Tony Stark, so they keep him captive in Afghanistan to built a missile out of scratch but Jeff Bridges guy is selling them all the Stark weapons they want anyway? Was i tired or does this make no sense?

And I forgot about Samuel Jackson at the end... damn it.

I think it was an attempt to get Tony out of the way so he could do more under-the-table dealing w/ terrorist groups. The one thing I didn't understand was the dumbass Afghans who actually HAD surveillance on him 24x7, and didn't see that instead of building a 25 foot missle system he was building what suspiciously looks like a suit of Linux-powered iron? Plus they must've done cell inspections. All the same, it was a fun ride. RD Jr is a hell of an actor though, fact.

It's a comic-suspension of disbelief anyone? But seriously The Sam Jackson cameo was great. He'd be a bad ass Nick Fury. SHEILD was a major part of the comic so that sets up the sequel (duh)

"Iron Man" was good trashy loud fun. Robert Downey, Jr. is a great actor and they gave him plenty of scenery to chew. Jeff Bridges as a baddy was inspired. He was having over the top fun.

Yer probably right, I just like it better when the charactor on the screen is the one I imagined in my head when I was a boy... The X-Men movies are a great example of that, every single one of them were perfect for the roles; looks, voice and attitudes...

SLJ would be much better than Hasselhoff, though the Hassel does look like him... but I can't that picture of him with SharPes outta my head... and that doesn't fit the Fury profile

The Scary Thing is The Hoff played Nick Fury in A VERY BAD tv movie a while back.

Nick Fury: Agent of Sheild

I saw that movie and was cheesetastic. Hoff was hard boiled and campy. SLJ is a much better actor. Seeing him as Nick Fury was a hoot!

I liked it a lot. They made Tony Stark very cool. He was even cooler than Bruce Wayne! I'm not the hugest Iron Man fan, so I didn't get bent out of shape over any incongruities they may have had with the comic, as opposed to, say, X-Men.

Right, saw it again the other night.

No Sunshine but the soundtrack is surprisingly good. Esp. in the 'air chase scenes.

i watched it yesterday, i thought it was a slight improvement on the 1st one.thought it dragged on a little too long though and took a while to get going.

Try reading 'The Ultimates' - The racial transformation was there and was drawn very SLJ.

I'm more excited by the prospect of an Avengers movie (Marvel comics, not John Steed), though we'll have to wait till 2011 for it.

Though Hulk was gash to be honest, Roth & Tyler have never been more miscast in their entire lives.

It explains the set up of the hulk through the opening credits, so i wouldn't say you had to put yourself through the misery of the 1st one.

Tim Roth is pretty stupid in this, a Russian with a mockney cockney accent, supposed to be British Military, yet hes parading round in an American military uniform?? i was confused at that.

I've never been the Biggest Hulk fan, but seeing as Marvel tend to do pretty good films i keep giving him a go, now i've had a week to digest what i've seen i could slag this film off for a very long time.

Second Thoughts Bere, its shit don't waste 2 hrs going to see it.

Well I guess I will see it anyway. Because you don't see Tim on the big screen that often . He has 3 films out this year. And 2 run in small cinemas only .
