i have to say that in 34 years of going football the worst riot ive ever personally witnessed was celtic at burnley.anglo scottish cup final,around 1980.they ripped through 2 fences and chased police dogs,tee hee actually.i was in the celtic end,they were fighting each other !! anyway we dare not go bus station after the match so we walked 2 miles out of town to get bus,we were 17 year old's and stood at a bus stop and a couple of celtic blokes ( maybe in late 30's ) came and threatened us with a knife. and my mate was wearing a celtic scarf!! they said ' your still an english cnut '

Has the death of Tommy Burns not been shown down south? Celtic man through and through, and assistant to Walter Smith with Scotland. There's a massive tribute to him outside Celtic Park (Parkhead) and it also includes many many Rangers shirts/scarves. Every time a Rangers fan lays a tribute they are warmly applauded by the Celtic support, Rangers FC (the club)cancelled a bus tour of Glasgow at the news of his passing as a mark of respect. Fitba violence in Scotland is a thing of the past, except for a vanishingly small amount of idiots.

The latest reports up here are saying the fans in Manchester were infiltrated by Millwall and Chelsea hooligans (and football violence seems to be making a resurgence south of the border).

One hundred and twenty thousand (real Gers fans) and 42 arrests! By any standard that is a tiny percentage.

I have to say that this thing about it been casulas from down south is a big porky. Most of those charged so far are from Glasgow. Rangers have a tradition of blming any trouble on anyone other than themsleves. The worst thing I get from this is the fact that the songs that were been sung inside the ground included the new tune on the irish famine. It goes "The famines over why dont you go home" and was sung to the Celtic supporters who are decendants of the Irish famine who emigrated to scotland. Imagine if comments or songs about other ethnic groups were sung bout similar terrible events. The Rangers Supporters trust said its all a bit of fun.

A guy I worked with who was down there has just listed about half a dozen English clubs that were really responsible for the violence.

This nancy attitude towards violence sickens me. They should take more of a pride in their work.

If any other club caused so much devastation on another clubs territory and managed to escape with so few arrests they’d be crowing about it for ever.
