  • Hubert Kah: Rosemarie
  • Fehlfarben:Es geht voran

god I miss Neue Deutsche Welle. That was some damn good music. (What happened...?)

no no-- it's "New German Wave"--contemporaneous with general non-German New Wave, but in Germany, don't you know.

"gut" oder "scheisse" indeed! (i vote "gut")

German New Wave cinema is much better.

Oh boy... What a question. It was the time when I began to get interest in music. To be honest, I never was too much into NDW. I got myself some samplers of that time later. Perhaps I was slightly too young.

But I saw Extrabreit two years ago (yes they are still active) and they were amazing.

wow, Extrabreit in concert! that's awesome. they had a bunch of good songs, actually.

I also still kind of like Nina Hagen, but she doesn't really fall into that category...

Not sure if they fit in the 'New Wave' mould, but Einstürzende Neubauten for me...

They are live on a festival in the city of Dortmund next week. But I have another festival to go to on the same day :eek3: .

prolly not quite NDW, but the same period:

Then there was Nena. This was deffo before 84.

Anyway it has special meaning for me as our school class let go ballons with cards. I felt left out as my friends got replies from France, Spain etc. Eventually I got a card from East Germany. Figure out those winds.

Damn shame that for a period of 5 years or German music actually was exciting and innovative. I'm glad I was there to experience that, before the Schlager took over again.

Not the same song, but 80s and 2007 (just to compare)

The singer Kai Havaii has just written an autobiography.

Maybe Kirschy is interested ;o)
