Believe it or not... I got a Batman alarm clock. It wakes me up by shouting "Gotham City is in trouble - call for Batman". And then the bat sign is projected to the ceiling (not that you realize that, while looking for the snooze or stop button).

It can be pretty annoying if someone starts shouting next to you, while you are sleeping.

My friend got one of these for Christmas and swears by it. As I'm not a morning person, I'm thinking of investing...

Rise and shine...

My stereo is set on 'alarm'. MP3 of Penny Rimbaud screaming, 'How Does It Feel???' at volume 50 every morning.

Wake up, clean up the poo, get out of bed.

Do washing.

Had to laugh at the alarm clocks for creativity. I know that the one at the #1 spot was designed by an MIT student.

gave one to my brother that made the noise of a cock crowing, hilarious at first...

My brother sleeps through bombs, literally. Nothing can wake the cunt, he WILLS himself not to give in to any fucker trying to wake him up. Once when trying to get him up to do something for our mum, I threw water round him. He got up, chased me round the house, beat the fuck clean out of me (I mean it HURT!), went back upstairs, turned his duvet round head to toe to move the wet bit, and was asleep again by the time I got upstairs again (with murder in mind).

In an effort NOT to lose his first proper job, he built/created an alarm device that to this day remais the single best piece of daftness I have ever seen (and that's even considering my own inventions, like the multitracker built from 2 hifi's and a fucking huge valve amp). How to describe...... 3 hifi's, 2 1970's flat jobs and a more modern early 80s midi system. These were interconnected in ways, that I as a trained audio engineer, do not begin to understand....and probably don't want to begin to want to understant. Certainly each was connected to every other in all possible ways. THis was not really done with leads, so much as 2 core bell wire shoved onto boards without solder (what kept them there I know not). At the business end were some 5 speakers, configured in ways that, again, may cause sever neural damage of thought about for too long. At the input end (as well as all the required hifi sources, located in the various open carcasses mentioned above, which were, incidentally distribited around the room rather than in a heap)...was an Amiga A500+ Those not familliar with the ameoba games machine may not know that it's OS was basically a version of Minix, that had been written for a MAINFRAME. What the young gonad had done was write an alarm clock program. At the appointed time, the program filled all 16 sample playback channels on the computer with a complex playlist of full volume samples. Among these were explosions, alarms, shattering glass, screams and bizarre electronic noises he'd made in Octomed.

Upon the device's deployment for the first time at 8am one monday morning......... I was awakened at 0800:01 by the shaking of my room from his sub bass unit, then the screaming began, at which point our dog joined in. at about 0801 my mother apparently surfaced as the dog was released. By 0804, the neighbours were knocking the wall. At 0807ish I kicked his locked bedroom door in and found the little cunt fast asleep.

Comatose little prick.

Nothing can be done for him.
