THUMBS DOWN. 
Saw thenm supporting The Young Knives last year. Poor.
Some bloke flew in from Sweden to watch them. His plane was delayed and missed them. Sucks to be him.
Think the DJ on the Radio 1 morning show (could've been Anny Mac as Jo Whiley is on holiday) was on about these lot the other morning when i was out in the work van.But for some reason she didn't play them but played GlasVegas instead who i'm still undecided about.Once i've reached a verdict on Glasvegas i'll get to work on Vampire Weekend
Actually i quite liked Glasvegas when they appeared on Later but wasn't so keen on the track i heard on the radio.The DJ compared them to Doves! 
What a disgraceful comparison

The Bon Iver & Fleet Foxes records are fucking ace, however, and currently dominate the stereo at FRADLEY TOWERS. I also saw Public Enemy the other night and they are still probably the greatest band the world has ever seen, motherfuckers.

The single is alright, but I imagine the album is probably annoying. When I first heard it, I thought the Coral had come back with a half-decent single. I bet what makes you like it, is, cos, they used an English literal reference, in the name, of, their single.
Best singles I know of around at the moment are The Music - Strength in Numbers and 'Can't get Back' by Primal Scream, which i can't find a link for, but it's a big return to form.

we are all in agreement that 'vampire weekend' is both a rubbish name and one that seems wildly incongruous.

Ah yes i know who they are now.Heard that song on the radio a lot.Doesn't do an awful lot for me really though .But it's preferable to that Sam fucking Sparro tosh.

Glasvegas are 100% pure class. I predict them to be huge by the end of this year. Catch them on tour now,dates are selling out fast
