STOP PRESS!!! News just in... We might be treading those boards again this September with a couple of UK gigs, nothing's confirmed yet and we can't give you details, but you'll be the first to know when things are going to happen (we are gonna try and work out some free tickets for the faithful on doves.net) it'll be great to step out into the outside world again and play some of these new songs live.
Assuming we'll keep a collective eye, anyone fancy a meet up if there's a weekend gig?
Without a doubt! The last Doves gig I went to was at Man Apollo and they played a 2 hour set. They had a video of them going into Apsley Cottage for a pint and a smoke, then returning to stage for an encore. Genius!
Saw them at Edinburgh Corn Exchange in 2002 and then again at the same venue on (the very first?) date of the Some Cities UK tour. Both excellent. Had a chat outside the venue and they signed my Pounding DVD single... totally down to earth chaps and the gigs were properly memorable.
Without a doubt, they're one of the few bands I'd literally drop what I'm doing to go and see live 
(especially if it involves skipping work!)
Seeing them at the 1st VERSUS CANCER made me a convert.SOME CITIES is an excellent album.I'll go and see 'em.
"Last Broadcast" is my favorite cd. Seen them live on The "Some Cities" tour. Cannot wait to see them again.

Good band too,lots of good songs. The Cedar Room is my fave by them..
first time i saw them about 7 years ago was for free !!. they did 'catch the sun' in a park somewhere in bolton.some radio one show i only went so my daughter could see mel c.but the doves hooked me.
i'll go to a couple of the gigs 
Still remember the first time I heard them on the radio. When I heard Catch the Sun, it was one of those moments where I was driving, but stayed in the truck in the parking lot to listen to the rest of the song, the wife patiently waiting silently beside me (well maybe not patiently, but at least silently
)
