Neuhas Education center benefits the teachers as well as the parents of the children having Dyslexia. It contributes to the society by bringing awareness among the people about various aspects of Dyslexia and ways to deal with it. The parents of Dyslexic children can hugely benefit by becoming the member of this organization. The center holds seminar and many information sessions regarding Dyslexia, for the parents of Dyslexic children. It enables the parents to understand better and empathize with their children. The center holds a number of events for the benefit of the educators and the parents alike. These events include: Information Sessions: A free information presentation which talks about the learning differences found in a Dyslexic person, the Texas laws as they relate to Dyslexia, information on multi sensory structured language. College Share Program: The college share program allows the parents of Dyslexic students, who are bound for college education. It enables such parents to gather information about appropriate colleges and to prepare for a successful college experience. Every year different speakers are invited to present topics such as choosing a college, legal rights, accommodations etc. The past conversationalists featured dignitaries like Sofía Adrogué, Lauren Anderson, Chip Babcock, Terri Sultan, Dick Weekley, Mayor Bill, Andrea White, among many others. Parent Seminars: The center holds First Fridays, classes designed for parents, who want their school-age children develop reading and comprehension skills. The one-hour seminar makes use of DVDs and VHSs for educating teh parenst on various topics. Neuhas education Center also holds seminars for parents and professionals. It also offers full scholarships.
