Just had the misfortune of watching the pilot episode of BBC's new flagship archaeological/Dan Brown type thriller series. Something to question the licence fee, most definitely; in fact, I'm not sure I've ever witnessed something more hyped up, yet utter bollocks.
Is it just me or was this a pile of cack? Discuss.
Started watching it but fell asleep. What I saw was utter tripe. Bad acting, terrible dialogue and totally far-fetched.
that episode would have made a good series, cramming it all into one show did it no favours.
it was no worse than doctor who, suspend critical faculties & it's an enjoyable enough romp

I find it a lot easier to suspend my faculties if they can be tricked into thinking there's a rationale behind it. RTD is making the Doc hard going for me.
I agree with ye's - pile of pish so it was!
On the plus side - LAB RATS is a new comedy on BBC2 tonight, that looks like it has potential and Mock The Week is back :D

i've accidentally started watching 'summer heights high' - that's quite funny in a frothy way.

Was watching the last half hour of it the other night, didn't know it was the pilot episode.Wasn't impressed really but tv is so dire lately i'm not surprised it's tosh.Look what else was on Tuesday night- Holby City, 10 Years Younger, Crash Scene Investigators, Camilla's Family Affair, Gordon Ramsay, Big Brother,Doc Martin, CSI.... need i go on?? All utter tripe!!

It can't be worse than that Invisibles thing that was on recently, shirley? 'Starring' Warren Clarke and Anthony Head? I watched one of them and saw it through to the end when it was blatantly obvious I should've jacked it in after the first five mins.

i thought it was only ok, a bit MOR. i did like the line "i could hide a pig from a clown". (in fact, it just made me laugh again now.) and the light bulb in the tin, although i wish they'd left it unexplained and i KNEW they wouldn't.

They explained the lightbulb? That's a shame, that was the best thing in it, from what I saw.
I got as far as, "Babushka, Babushka, Babushka, aye-yah" and had to turn it off at that point. It was flagging dramatically by then.
Not a good show to follow "Mock the Week" with. 
oh god, that line was awful - definitely a turning-off moment. i feel a bit ashamed that i didn't.
