On my recent list.....
An episode of The Craft of the Potter. An episode of the Granada schools program "Experiment" from the 70's (never seen it IN school, always watched it while off sick).
And currently, a whole DVD of Camberwick Green. (Partly this is a nostalgia trip, partly it's for my newest baby nephew, but mainly it's to prove my point to some people that kids shows today are (largely)seriously retarded compared to what I was raised on).

Downloaded the Daft Punk movie - "Electroma".
No sound. Thought it was a dodgy encoding. So downloaded it again a second time via another torrent.
Still no sound. WTF.
Downloaded it a third time, with a totally different torrent again.
Still no sound.
So I eventually googled it.
It's actually a silent movie!

No, it's not. I first saw a copy of it last year, and the soundtrack is 60's folk and 70's funk...no Daft Punk songs, but there is (or at least was) music in the original cut.

There's no dialogue in the movie whatsoever ... and you go minutes without any muzak. You just get the sound of people walking, or something burning.
And not a single Daft Punk track in sight.

i dont do this often but 
two old blokes at my work in 1980 argued about rivington place like fuck(great film btw).one said it is now in colour other said no its still in black and white,they bet 2 weeks wages and it turned out his tv was still fucking black and white so didnt know it been re done in colour

Truly impressive, I thought twas only I who did things that daft.
Hope to fuck you didn't have to phone any of my cow-orkers about your passport, most of the daytime staff are either miserable to the point of psychosis, or clinically retarded (though mainly the Bristol centre suffer this, all 3 places have some true genetic throwbacks).
Always ring from 11pm-7am, hell you might even get little old me :D (I actually try to help people, even when I'm not meant to, same goes for about half the nighttimers).
Mind you, lost passort=7 bloody days, and appointments in London are like rocking horse shite just now. Have heard that they're doing Lost/Stolen replacements for the new biometric passports on the 4 hour service, but of course we're not actually allowed to TELL anyone that.....tosspots are more worried about all sorts of shite before actually helping the customer....however my job title definitely says "Customer service" not "pathetic company service".
Quick example of the attitude that holds sway.......there's gonna be a 3 day strike in some of the passport offices....and because IPS have not actually given us a statement to read....we've been told to deny all knowledge of it 
So that makes us look like spastics, and leaves the poor cunt on the phone none the wiser.
