I thought at the time I'd been drinking spiked Absinthe, but yes, I can confirm. Fuck knows about the dates but it was more recent than that. It was like the arrival of the prodigal son.

right, how long do you reckon its going to take for that stupid bint Cozmonite to completely not get it and say how she saw a moth or something up her backside...

The rarest thing I've ever seen was some lass walk into a shop asking for the owner to check her lottery ticket through the computer system, and the owner confirm she had all six numbers.

The skanky bitch refused to buy me a packet of fags though.

Whilst not rare, as such, I did see a geezer fingering his burd right outside Liverpool Street station around 11pm last Thursday night as I was making my way home after Hooky.

I mean, we've all done nawty things in public in our time, but this was dead public, and these weren't a couple of youngsters - they were a pair of 30 somethings, suited and booted, proper City types.

He was giving her the up and under at a bus stop on Bishopsgate. What made matters worse was that she was wearing white pants below black tights so it brought extra attention to the spectacle as she had her skirt hitched up somewhere around chest level!

There was loads of people wandering past around that time too, the dirty beggars.

It's not summat you see every day in the City! :nonono:

In the space of three hours in Manchester on Saturday I saw two fights, one between a pensioner and two rail employees and one between gang members outside Johnny Roadhouse. Then my son and I had to jump out of the way of a skidding car which had gone the wrong way down Grosvenor St. then attempted a high-speed u-turn.

Manchester: dodging the rain and the bullets

And the Vauxhall Astras

Rare for England but saw a snake the other week. Was out cycling in the countryside and it, erm , snaked across the road right in front of me.Not a big snake obviously.Must have been an Adder or grass snake i guess. Then a few days later saw another snake squashed and flattened on the road a few miles away from the first snake.2 different snakes i would have thought unless they travel up to a few miles?

Ireland and Iraq also both have people of the same religion killing each other over trivialities such as how to pray, and other such petty ecclesiastical fine points which most of them probably don't even understand.

Nice one Mick, if theres a little pool in the river with no overhang you can push a branch into the bank for them to sit on,they'll probably go for it. Don't do it too close to the nest site though!

Really? Kingfishers aren't considered rare yet, are they? That would be a crying shame.

I went up the Lodge in Sandy when I should've been in Barca. Not the sort of place you'd expect a Kingfisher anyways cos it's more geared towards heathland but the bird populus was utterly dire that day. Endless amount of Crows, and one Lesser Spotted Woodpecker. And nothing else at all. Not a sparrow, nor even a pigeon! You get more bids in my back-garden!

I've always wanted to see an Osprey. An actual Osprey divebombing a lake fishing prey from the water. That would be a dream come true.

Saw an Osprey yesterday on our way back fom Scotland, stopped off at Coldstream and one flew overhead at tree top height. Sadly it wasn't fishing and just flew south.

If you want to see one Al go to Rutland water just north of Shug, they've been introduced there as an attempt to get a breeding English population.

Kingfishers aren't in danger at the moment.

Kingfishers are just a bastard to spot. Just a flash, normally down the path of a waterway, and they're gone, leaving you feeling excited for the rest of the day.

I saw a fucking massive whale in the Caribbean and I didn't feel as excited as the odd few times I've glimpsed a kingfisher.

The beer's alright too :thumb:

Kingfishers are grand. My favorite birds to see that have become scarce in the area now-a-days are the roadrunner and quail. Both are hard to find, but when you do it is delight.
When the roadrunner runs, it bursts instantly into its fast speed, you can't see the legs moving, and no matter how bumpy the ground is, the body always stays in a perfect straight line, then it stops instantanously... it seems to defy physics. Then the quail are great when you get to see a family of them walking around.they follow each other in a straight line similar to ducks, but unlike ducks the babies never wander or seem distracted... looks like some royal family on parade...

last night i saw a fox having a wee about five yards away, as i sat in a bit of 'green space' opposite a pub in the middle of london.

maybe that'd be commonplace for some, but it's not the sort of thing i see every day.

I would LOVE to see a roadrunner! Did it go 'Beep Beep' and carry an ACME Loyalty Card?

Never heard them ever make a sound, pretty quiet things. I do think he was wearing an ACME pin however, and we do have a bit of coyotes around here probably after him as well:wink:

It's extremely commonplace. I ran over one having a dump in the road not that long ago.

Still see plenty of quail in these parts, mostly in the Scio/Crabtree area east of Albany, there's a bevy of 'em who seemed to have nested near the barn next to one of our accounts; everytime I drive up next to it, they proceed to head to the nearest blackberry thicket, in the manner you described. I also caught sight of a couple of bald eagles sitting in tree tops right along 99 south of Shedd last summer; I pulled to the side about 20 yards from them, and just watched them survey the countryside below, until they grew bored at this particular location after 5 minutes.
