In the space of three hours in Manchester on Saturday I saw two fights, one between a pensioner and two rail employees and one between gang members outside Johnny Roadhouse. Then my son and I had to jump out of the way of a skidding car which had gone the wrong way down Grosvenor St. then attempted a high-speed u-turn.

Rare for England but saw a snake the other week.Was out cycling in the countryside and it, erm , snaked across the road right in front of me.Not a big snake obviously.Must have been an Adder or grass snake i guess.Then a few days later saw another snake squashed and flattened on the road a few miles away from the first snake.2 different snakes i would have thought unless they travel up to a few miles?

Bloody ell nah it wasn't that big.That one looks fairly large in that pic.The one i saw was much smaller but possibly the same skin so could have been a young un?

its not what i have seen, its about what i want to see which is rare, birds, and the british kingfisher, supposedly to be around my area, but by the looks of it, it has been scared off

Several around CHORLEY.Stunning EVERY time i see ONE.Even found one nesting in a BANK at bottom of my new gaff by the RIVER.

Nice one Mick, if theres a little pool in the river with no overhang you can push a branch into the bank for them to sit on,they'll probably go for it. Don't do it too close to the nest site though!

No we sat on the BANK opposite for a few minutes only.My girlfriend is CLUED up as to what to do and she has made this a LIFELONG quest.The animals i track by FOLLOWING their CRAP would make your EYES water.The latest sightings a few weeks back are 3 BUZZARDS which until recently i'd never seen around CHORLEY.

Used her tracking skills to find you? Plenty of old buzzards around Chorley I'd imagine?

Saw an Osprey yesterday on our way back fom Scotland, stopped off at Coldstream and one flew overhead at tree top height. Sadly it wasn't fishing and just flew south.

If you want to see one Al go to Rutland water just north of Shug, they've been introduced there as an attempt to get a breeding English population.

Kingfishers aren't in danger at the moment.

Kingfishers are just a bastard to spot. Just a flash, normally down the path of a waterway, and they're gone, leaving you feeling excited for the rest of the day.

I saw a fucking massive whale in the Caribbean and I didn't feel as excited as the odd few times I've glimpsed a kingfisher.
