That's OK, F1 cars will be Priusses (priae?) from next year. The testing has already thrown one mechanic on his arse with a massive electric shock, and another blew up and made Williams evac their factory.

Still, with F1 developement, you might see some useful gains for road cars.....though electric ones, not stupid hybrids.

They proved on Top Gear a few weeks ago that the Prius only gets good ecconomy cos it's slow, they drove a BMW M5 (or M3) round the track following it for ten laps.....it used LESS petrol!!!

Think maybe the Prius would have done better if it had been stop-start city driving, but then a pure electric would be better for that anyway.

Doc, at the moment KERS system is quite dangerous as youve mentioned, BMW F1 stpoed their research, but the idea is very fookin interesting - to get more temporary power just using the brakes, briefly.
