Oasis-Dig Out Your Soul UK tour

Oasis have announced today (August 15) that they will make their UK live comeback by touring Britain this autumn.

The band will hit the road immediately after releasing seventh studio album 'Dig Out Your Soul'.

The band kick of the dates on October 7, the day after the record is released, with the first of two shows at the Liverpool Echo Arena.

The tour will then call at Sheffield, Birmingham, London, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Belfast and Aberdeen, before ending at the Glasgow SECC on November 5.

I heard they were releasing a 'best of' album to coincide with the tour..

..Its called 'When We Were Good',theres about 3 songs on it!

Should have called it the Dig out my own eyes rather than go see them tour.

Had the mis-fortune of hearing the new single played "exlusivly" on XFM manchester this morning. Frankly, couldn't tell the difference between it and the last 5 or 10 releases.

The last time I saw Oasis they played "The Masterplan", therefore, there is no reason to ever see them again.

Not sure about Manchester. They could, but its a decent sized tour and they will probably do Citys ground next Summer.

Heard a song by them on Radio 2 Ken Bruce this morning.Thgought it was some old crap b side from 96-97.Then at the end he said it's the new single Oh dear

They are at the stage of their career where they are yesterdays news but yet not quite old enough for a nostalgia tour. That and the fact that they are shit.

The Reebok Stadiums first gig was Oasis with Happy Mondays backing and it was a brilliant day. I'd probably go to one out of curiosity at their new material. Only heard their new single once so I can't work out if I like it yet.

I'm sure they'll announce a Manchester gig at some point.

I'll give it a couple of years, and then catch up with them on the pub circuit.

Their first two albums were peerless, they changed music and played the soundtrack to a very happy time in my life. And their version of Heros is one of my favourite songs. In fact, that whole ep is a high point for me.

Seeing them at V '05 was a great disappointment. All the swagger of old, but not much to swagger about and seemingly no respect at all for their audience.

If they arrived now they would be just another band that was inspired by Oasis. There's fucking loads of them, some of them very good.

Put simply, they weren't good enough for long enough to rest on their laurels. Aren't they a totally different band now anyway?

Yes the Oasis of 94-96 accompanied some great times in my life too.Unfortunately, such is life, that was a long time ago and i've moved on a long long time ago.Sadly for Oasis they don't seem to have grasped that moving on concept and think it's still 1996.Oh dear.Time to give it up lads.You've had your time in the sun.It's over.

Strange, but it seems to me that when i heard the appalling version of heroes that they did, it was as if all my inner doubts were finally proved right. They had ran out of ideas very quickly, and to try and cover such a classic and do it so badly paved the way for the rest of the shite they have trotted out.

First 2 albums were great,but apart from GAS PANIC,nothing they've brought out has been earth shattering as of late.

Never seen them live though,wouldn't mind seeing them.

Was the last album any good? Not heard it much...

What's GAS PANIC?

Stay Young is one of my favourite songs, as is their version of Heroes. In fact that whole EP is a highpoint in an otherwise barren decade for Oasis.

What I've heard of the new album is terrible.

Gas Panic is one of the better songs (along with Sunday Morning Call and Where did it All go Wrong?) on the otherwise dreadful Standing on the Shoulders of Giants album.

As far as i'm concerned, Oasis will never, ever be forgiven for either Songbird or Let There Be Love.

Gas Panic is a brilliant nightclub in Tokyo. In fact, there are several of them. It was that good, I bought the T-Shirt.
