So I get summoned yesterday, "what do you want for your birthday?"

"An X Box 360 with GTA 4" came the reply.

So at 10 pm last night, I get told "you'll have to order it yourself"

So i go on play.com, order this 60gb premium thing on the advice of Ally and Jert (Bigger is Better) and the game, and here we are fifteen hours later, and the bloody payment still hasnt been processed. So I ring up, and ask about the courier delivery, and i get told "You'll get an email in a day ro so telling you when he's coming"

Then I ask: "What about the game, can he bring that as well"

"That'll be sent out in the post, you'll get that within a week"

"Why cant the courier just bring it"

"We dont send out Games, CD's or DVD's out via courier"

"But its the same order, and one without the other is totally useless"

"As I say, we dont send out Games, CD's or DVD's our via courier"

"Thats a bit idiotic when you are sending a courier to my house anyway"

"There's nothing I can do about it"

So basically, they've got a website which doesnt process orders for a fucking day, then they wont deliver the same fucking order at the same time. Fucking ridiculous.

This is a total failure.

And if i'm lucky i might be able to play the fucking game by the end of next week.

Now I would cancel the order. But this premium package doesnt seem to be available anywhere else. And having investigated the matter overnight, it does seem quite sensible option overthe arcade option (i.e. when i buy the Half Life 2 thing, i'll be able to save the game).

And now the order has been cancelled! And not that anyone at play.com bothered to... you know... email me, or ring me. No, i had to log into my account to see that.

And you know why its been cancelled? Because its an "unusual" transaction.

Because you know, going out and buying a fucking X BOX is one of those things you do every fucking week. for fucks sake. Has it come to this? That the fucking government and the media have got everyone so worried about credit card fraud that you cant even buy anything anymore without it coming under suspicion.

so the bank are at fault here, for being cunts basically. And not applying a modicum of common sense.

Play.com are at fault, for raising this as as issue, becaus its obviously going to be fucking card fruad when its being delivered to the cardholders fucking address. This is despite them sending us an email demanding we ring them to answer some security questions, which we do. and why they couldnt ring us, i dont know. I gave them two contact numbers.

And i'm at fault for actually thinking that an apparently simple transaction would be simple in anyway.

Why stock and sell the damn things if the moment somebody buys one you go reporting fraud suspicion to the bank?

Its almost like the Lass O Gowrie refusing to serve me beer because i might get drunk and disorderly. Its ridiculous.

Not a bad idea though. I'll mention it the next time I'm in there.

Liam, try overclockersUK for the console, dunno if they have the bundle you're after, but they do sell consoles, and while they may not always be the cheapest, in years of ordering puter bits from them they have not once anally raped me. Play and scamazon on the other hand have treated me like some kind of NHS rentboy service and left me with a gaping anus horribillis.

Its not Plays fault that the transaction was referred, it is only the bank that can do it.

You would be the first to complain if someone had hacked your card or whatever and caned your card and the bank do fuck all about it.

idiot.

Flagging this as unusual would be acceptable only if Liam never used it for large purchaes. The only time me or me bro got this, was a phone call from capitalone to say there had been some unusal activity on his card....I'd none of my own at the time, paid his off and went on a spending splurge with it, so in that case it was fair do's.

I bet it's cos he's not signed up to something stupid like verified by visa or mastercards equivalent.

But it is Plays fault they didnt inform me. And it is Plays fault they took so long to actually looking at the transction.

And anyway, I have so much protection on my card its ridiculous. A

But of course, the first thing any card fraudster is going to do is ORDER SOMETHING TO THE CARDHOLDERS ADDRESS. I mean fucks sake, wise the fuck up. Idiot.
