Wonderful story about Sir Jimmy who, whilst on his way to a restaurant, was the first on the scene of a serious road accident.
Wishing to ensure that the road remained clear for the arrival of the emergency services, Jimmy got out of his car and directed traffic past the scene.
When the Police arrived, they issued Sir Jim with a hi-vis Police jacket and allowed him to continue.
What a man.
And what a story.
I just hope that at least one of the passing motorists was on drugs. Can you imagine driving along off your nut and seeing Jimmy Saville directing traffic? You'd just shake your head and carry on with your day, wouldn't you.
Or maybe someone drove past who shouldn't have been there. Imagine getting home to your wife or back to work after a sneaky long lunch and not being able to tell anyone that.
