no disrespect to Marty Luther.

But my dreams are well better.

I can FLY!

My favourite dreams are ones where I can fly. I can never fly fast enough though, no matter how I try. They're sometimes so vivid that I actually think I'm awake and have just discovered how to do it.

I'm sure a dream expert would have a field day with that.

That reminds me I never did write to Curt Smith.

not trying to brag or anything but I can fly like a proper concorde in my dreams.

But I always shit the bed when I take off from Paris airport.

I dreamed that the Polish woman who cleans our office overheard me taking about the leak in my bathroom and offered to go home and sort it for me. I leant her my car and when she came back she told me she'd fixed the petrol leak too,

Nice one :thumb:

I NEVER get those, which is odd, as most people seem to.

I fly now and then, and I've done the apparently impossible and continued dreaming after falling and hitting bottom!!

When I was a child I was scarred by Disney's "one of our dinosaurs is missing" (specifically the scene where the skeletal head of said dino pops through the window of an auld doll doin her hair). For YEARS I had recurrent nightmares involving the avoidance of hundreds of skelatal saurians.

These days there are but two types of dream that recur, and maybe only once or twice a year.

  1. End of the World dreams, nukes, disease, natural disaster, you name it. There used to be a recurring scene of seeing a mushroom cloud over Belfast, always viewed from the same spot, which I avoided walking through for some time. These days they're more varied.
  2. War of the Worlds dreams, always different, sometimes proper tripods, sometimes those things from the 1953 film, sometimes both. Always though, a weird balance of terror and the knowledge the fuckers are gonna die in the end. Some of them are REALLY vivid, distinctly remember "watching" machines being built in a Martian pit, complete with flickering green light....and knowing I needed to get to fuck, before they finished. I suppose having read the book well over 50 times, listened to the audiobook a few more, and played the album countless times, it's inevitable that bits of the story will surface in dreams.

Never EVER dream of racing cars though, which is downright odd as this is an even greater obsession with me than Wells' masterpiece.

I haven't had reoccuring dreams forever... I do remember in high school I had this one that reoccured for two years... I would do regular day things, but I was always sleepy and doing things like bike riding, shopping, talking to people with my eyes closed though I would try in vain to open them... seemed vivid and real at the time.... probably had something to do with the imsomnia of those days:shrug:
