Running now, nearly got the thing round to a full circle.
Be a while (days or weeks I would imagine) before it starts blowing stuff up ;)

booooooooooooooooooring
Anyone know the exact starting time? Maybe they didn't switch yet.
I'm still here, too btw. And my ass is closer to that thing than all of yours are.
So if something happenes - I'm first

Is being a great big girls blouse and a drama queen a side effect of this thing?![]()
I really need an excuse
and I don't want to blame imbibing fermented beverages for a change.

I really need an excuse
fiddlesticks. no excuse or apology ever needed for these fine qualities.

in a gay best mate I agree But I lack the style, finesse and narcissism to carry it off with such aplomb
I had the strangest dream last night - I was rescuing realistic robot men with spirally eyes and naked ladies from drowning in a tiny swimming pool.
I woke up drenched in sweat and could have easily choked a horse.

what with???
I'd heard the rumours but didn't believe it until I heard it from the 'horses mouth'
I dreamed I was in a science lab being besieged by zombies and caving their heads in with a huge axe. only now do I see the source of the (mutual) anxieties in those two dreams...

last night i had such a strange and terrible dream i can't even bring myself to repeat the details. it was worse than anything i've ever watched or read and it genuinely makes me wonder quite what's lurking in the dark recesses of my mind. i woke up weeping and shaking and couldn't get back to sleep.
i'm fairly sure it wasn't connected to the LHC, or whatever else you may have going on in your subconscious. i'm just glad of a cathartic opportunity to mention it.
I blamed my dreams on a heavy dinner, three pints and a high dose of ibuprofen, which made me feel like I was made from rubber.
My mate Vin also had unusually bad dreams, he blamed them on recovering from a cold and some uncertainty at work.
I am willing to believe that we have all been the victim of some sort of pre-doomsday supernatural occurrence and that these may be our very last days on earth. In fact, I'm convinced.
Now does anyone fancy a shag?
You'll all be glad to know that I, did in fact suffer in the maelstrom that was the after effect of the 'big switch on', so sadly (?),Im not here :(

NEITHER AM I! That is like sooo cool, like totally a thing that not many people are getting, like oh-my-god! This thing is like so groady, it made me feel so sick, like gag me with a spoon. I mean this thing killed me and you, and like it wil make the world like come in on itself and like collapse or something like that.
but it is like to-tally awesome though too![]()
If I wasn't still here, how would I have been able to fire a proton all the way around an old tire in my yard today?
they don't actually crash anything till october. thats when to worry about black holes to quote alan partridge "you wanna get sucked in?"

Well considering they were talking weeks to start the 2nd beam....yet got it going yesterday too.....they may be coliding sooner than that.
The one thing that's bugging me is this.......
Relativity tells us that with two beams travelling at C (OK 99.9999999999999999% of C, but for now, we'll CALL it C), their closing speed as observed from one particle in the beam with still be C because that particle will be experiencing time dilation. But, If I, as a stationary observor, see one beam at C, and another beam at C, and my relative velocity to both remains constant.....surely I am observing a closing speed of 2C.....which is of course, impossible.
("I" in this case being my instruments, as I doubt you'd have much luck spotting a single proton doing 186,000 miles per second.)
So if Anyone is qualified in teaching grannies to suck eggs, or smart arse paddies to talk shite, as the case may be....please post explaining how relativistic concepts are preserved in this scenario.
