Another anniversary of September 11th. Sad all the same. I won't tell any tales of woe-just indulge my favorite Irish folk song.
The New York Fire Department has a NFL-style football team. Their ranks were decimated after the Towers fell. One of the lost had an interesting habit. He would always sing "The Wild Rover" my favorite Irish drinking song-especially after wins. So to remember him the team would sing "the Wild Rover" for him.
We are the ones who remember. As long as we do that, the lads, ladies and friends will never be gone.
So cue The Dubliners....
