Has anyone seen this? Nowt worth watching on telly last night so picked this off Pay Per View cos it was dead short.

Fcuk me, it's brutal! :eek3:

I know conflicts are dead nasty an' all but this had people being decapidated, kids shot, women raped, people blown apart by landmines, hangings, babies thrown into fires, etc, etc.

Not sure if Stallone was trying to make some sorta clever statement against Burma. Er, or if he just wanted lots of blood and gore? The latter, presumably.

Er, no one died at all in First Blood though, did they?

Is that the one where he shoves some cedar twigs into his own leg to shore up compound-fractured shins?

I bought this on Blu ray from America when it came out, never seen it, just read a review that said the violence in it was almost Pornographic it was that non stop, so thought , this is a film for me.

i think this is definetly in my top 5 of films i've seen this year , just wall to wall mayhem.

i love some of the lines at the start, they make no sense to what has just been said, the 'it is what it is' crap.

i honestly think that when it comes to action films, no one is on par with Stallone,he still delivers.

In the directors Commentary he says he wanted to choose a real life situation that people could identify with, so thats why he picked Burma.
