Favourite Movies?

Since most of you seem to have very cool taste in music, what about movies? Any top favourites? A few of my favs movies are Control, Across the Universe, Trainspotting..

Ermm... well i still love 'V for Vendetta'.

'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' is just art wank fodder though, perhaps made for dreamy retrospective people in education.

I have too many but I saw one a few weeks ago on BBC2 called 'A guide to Recognising Your Saints'

It was pretty interesting

Control (even though up to now, I haven't seen it, yup, the DVD is still unwrapped)

Matrix Trilogy, Gladiator, Sin City (the first one), Starship Troopers (the first one) and a spanish continental film called Sex and Lucia, no, not a porno

boogie nights. and not just for the prosthetic wing wong at the end, either.

The Godfather trilogy. 24 Hour Party People. The Shining.

Disney-- Sleeping Beauty. Beauty and the Beast. Finding Nemo. The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Anime-- Sailor Moon R/S/Super-S. Princess Mononoke. Spirited Away.

Yes, my taste in movies is a bit, erm, eclectic. No, I don't watch movies much.

I'll take Monty's list, minus Contact and the 2nd and 3rd matrix movies. Plus 2001,2010 and both Ghostbusters films. Oh and pretty much add in Monty Python*

Not a very high-brow list. I'm not much of a movie fan in general.

ooops.. I forgot 'Downfall'. A compelling 3 hours of film that everyone should watch.

It's almost a comedy.

Sunshine is the best movie I saw lately, I mean last 2 years :).
