Give me a break... most Muslims I came across broke the fast... just as long as it wasn't in front of other Muslims.

Fasting ain't fun though. Sure makes people grumpy. I tried it for three days while I was out there, to try and close cultural barriers. I became a real asshole, where the Iraqis who begged me to try fasting, begged me to start eating and forget about fasting...

Why is they choose to do it during the hottest times of the years... makes it downright unbearable:nonono:

they carry my best wishes that's for sure.

Of course it's a deeply counter productive move from their point of view....with EE off the air, the most violent, shallow and stupid people of this nation will extract their heads from their arses, see the real world and feel an urge to kill some of it's inhabitants in the olde briddish tradition, and guess who'll have lined themselves for first dibs.

Used to work with a Jordanian chap, he was a worse muslim than I am a christian. When ramadan came round, every time he turned his back or went out to patronise a patron (it was a 'puter shop).....we'd hide his coffee/mars bar/fish+chios and claim we were saving his soul and that allah would thank both us and him....He never really bought it though, just recovered his sutainance, return to his patient-PC and make the ocassional comment about how we might be giving up breathing for lent the following year

Its actually pretty easy to fast during daylight hours. Muslims will go out of their way to rise at 5am, eat a colossal amount of curry, rice and bread and then expend as little energy as possible throughout the day.

Eastenders always was pondlife television however.

The Egyptian Muslims who I am working with at the moment didn't even drink water during Ramadan. We all went for a meal one night and they were staring at the clocks on their mobile phones to avoid eating or drinking until it was time. You should have seen them go when the green light came on!

Wait until they're 3/4 through their starter then say "BTW, we're 2 degrees west of the meridian so the sun sets 8 mins later here.

Considering Ameer and his two brothers and a sister WERE the local muslim population, I doubt it

Nah, took him about half an hour to complete a ten minute journey. Hit every red light, every traffic hold-up, let every driver who wanted to turn into the traffic through, went the long way round, usual wanker attitude. And expected a tip, which I duly provided......"buy a fucking satnav pal". :banghead:

Blow up Eastenders? What a splendid idea. I'd like to offer to help. I honestly cannot stand that program, it drains the life out of me if I switch it on for more than a minute.

In fact I react the same way that Leggy D does if he hears Coldplay.

Detonate detonate detonate!

In which case, he'd laff at this (Moped are a piss-take "tribute" band of Scooter)!
