...I'm loving that new single 'Spiralling'. Sounds like Talking Heads versus ABC. And hardly a piano to be heard!

danceable-the last thing I would expect from Keane!

This screams for a quality remix

Nope, i've tried but sorry, no.Totally unlistenable with a truly awful video which reminded me of Dire Straits' Money For Nothing video.Ugh.The horror.

Heard the new album off a link on their website last night.Don't know what to make of it. 1st 2 albums were instant, you can hear a raft of songs you know would make a good single. Where SPIRALLING is like Bowie's Let's Dance, there's another song on the album which is definitely inspired by ASHES TO ASHES. Keane...but not how we know 'em. Still fancy seeing 'em live again.

Seems Keane are a bit late again jumping on the band wagon. Last time they where copying Radiohead/Travis (once it was already past its prime), now they are copying Killers/Bravery... but again past its prime, and not to the quality of the other bands:shrug:

Not a bad song, though.... but not quality

ermmm ok. Its difficult cos i agree with Liam, Edelbrock and Monty. Ok, that single (played above) is alright, and hey! the novelty of having a piano, drummer and bassist was 'different' for a song or two.

But ultimately, I heard the NEW single today, and, my word, I could put on tape a sloppy 'release' of food wastage, and it would sound better than this, AND with no fucking piano. It's time to restart the burt 'musical field of death' in which one throws the worst bands in humanity (e.g. Phil Collins, Lighthouse Family, Simply Red and M People), into a Taliban stronghold.

coke addict. My arse.

I actually kind of like Keane. I like Coldplay's last album too.

I fucking KNEW it.

I spotted your name as the last poster and thought to myself...."Oh dear, I bet NH has posted in their defense", well, it was close enough for jazz.

I am starting to think you're the AntiSteve and I may have to utterly destroy you in a battle that will shatter worlds at some stage. Not now though, I've got something on. :thumb:

M People's first album, 'A Northern Soul' was class, the piano riff from 'So Excited' still does it for me. Some standout sigles after that too ; 'Rennaisance', 'Movin On Up', etc. And Sasha's remix of 'How Can I Love You More' is a bona fide club classic.

I could never get on with them. Might be that pineapple headed woman with the LOUD voice that got on my nerves. Out of the above list, they are the most likely to get a stay of execution though.
