Lism, you only joined them because they are free!! There will be more free ones too, NUT, NASUWT, ATL. Don't forget, if there is going to be a strike it will be the NUT so you will have to have the day off, shouldn't matter to you because you don't get paid yet anyway!!

Think Lucy may have confused your name with the word jism, not sure why but there you go.
Anyway back on topic, re point 2, did you get as far as the bit about respecting teachers as you would respect your parents? Always useful to hold that up your sleeve.

Thanks to the government, i am slightly better off as a student teacher than i was this time a year ago in my old job. ![]()
I got this letter from the Student Finance People two weeks ago, and my eyeballs almost exploded. I had to ring them up and say "this is a joke right?" and it wasnt.
Got paid on Friday. Get paid again on Tuesday! ![]()

I didnt actually.
The only reason I have a copy is because on e of the Muslim lads gave everyone on the course a copy. He said his Koran was the most precious thing to him and he wanted to share it with us.
Sadly, the only Hindu in the class couldnt be persuaded to give me a copy of the Bhagadvagita, nor would the Jewish lad give me a Torah, but I did get a Bible of one lad who did Bible Studies as a degree.
