I apologize in advance for all the Keane posts amidst the drama lately, but since it's about to come out I figured I'd let whoever cares know that it's a pretty good album that has the classic royal Keane piano sound mixed with some dabbles in new wave and synthpop, as well as some guitar rocking out even towards the latter half of the record. It's a short album, only about 50 minutes, but Tom's voice is tops. What can I say I love this guys voice. Whether it's his natural voice or studio manipulation, his voice is so powerful and passionate...really reminds me of Freddie Mercury at times. What I find interesting about this record is that although it does add more eclecticism to Keane's sonic palette it still very much sounds like Keane. Keane just have a distinctive groove to them that manages to be youthful and retro, all at the same time.
