Looking for somewhere to stay in the Toon. Get expenses reimbursed so cost not a major factor. Anyone know the area?? Need somewhere city centre-ish.

Where did folk stay for the NO gigs a few years back???

[NB - please feel free to use this thread for hilarious ramblings about the entirely off-topic subject of just how shit the North East's favourite MASSIVE CLUB are. This especially applies to JT, natch.]

Frads, you should have terrible problems getting a room, as all they're loyal fans will have em booked - remember what a MASSIVE CLUB they are.

Why would Newcastle fans book out hotel rooms?

Depends on where you're going Martin, one of the universties?

Copthorne or Malmaison are both newish and on the quayside. It's a steep walk up the hill from where you could get the metro but a taxi fare from there won't be expensive.

Malmaison is opposite the baltic if you're into modern art and isn't too far a walk from a superb real ale pub, the name of which escapes me at the moment.

Found it! http://thefreetradeinn.co.uk/

In stark contrast to Man-U fans :evil4:

That was my annual attempt at a footy gag, and for it, my batter corpse will be found hanging off the metrolink's catenary sparking gently.
