I'm not sure this is actually telling me anything I wasn't fully aware of when I was about 12.
I can see why somebody would vote BNP in the current economic climate. The lower end of the labour market is completely over-saturated because of excessive immigration, often working on bonded labour.
However, Poles have been flooding back to their country (whose banks have been better regulated) so whether this will improve things remains to be seen.

I don't exactly work at the 'lower end of the labour market' but on my current team, of those of us based in London we've only two white faces. And the other is an American. We've got two British Asians, one Swedish Muslim and a Sri Lankan muslim. The lads I socialise with here the most are Turkish (born and bred) and the majority of our senior management are French.
However, should I actually lose my job due to the current economic climate (and banks have hit worse than most quarters) then I'm not ill-educated nor ignorant enough to think that society's ills or the economy can be fixed overnight by booting out large sections of the population against their will and flying the Union Jack from every corner!

Banks are no longer the only casualty as I'm sure you are aware AL..I read your previous posts on all this,which showed some foresight.
The world steel market is on the point of collapse,for my part,as are all the knock on(contractors,suppliers etc)Though we are being plucky about it at this time and calling it a 'storm' which we will weather..It's changing ever so fast,mind..contracts,and multi-million pound orders are being cancelled daily..
Our firm,to their credit are keeping us,the workers,in the loop(which is a novel experience,as we usually find out through the press)but it looks grim,and there will be lay-offs for christmas..
Many other industries are the same.
However,I think your 'Beans on toast Britain' is now looming large,realistically...
